Montpellier
Montpellier (capital of Languedoc-Roussillon, 260 000 inhabitants), “The city where the sun never sets”, is the ideal destination to learn French in France.
Located in one of the most beautiful region of the south of France, between the Mediterranean Sea and mountains, Montpellier offers at the same time sea, sun and beaches, but also the opportunity to discover all the treasures of the south of France: the Provence and the various landscapes of The Camargue, the Cevennes, or the Pyrénées-Orientales.
Montpellier is a modern and historic city, and one of the most dynamic ones in France in terms of culture. The historic center with its pedestrian streets reveals a lot of old monuments and shelters architectural treasures witness of several centuries of history (town houses, cathedrals, College of Medicine, etc.). “City of Art”, Montpelier offers many cultural activities such as museums (of which the famous Fabre museum), exhibitions, famous festivals, opera, etc.
Montpellier is also a famous University City. Young and dynamic, it welcomes more than 80 000 students every year (about 30% of the population), coming from all over the world. Montpelier is the city where learning French blend in with discovering a new way of life, new cultures. Festivals, cafes, bars, restaurants, concerts, museums, operas, theater, cinema, leisure complex (Odysseum) and more will make your French language stay a great moment rich in meetings.
Tramlines, buses or the many bicycle paths give you the opportunity to easily discover the dynamic city of Montpellier. The sea and sandy beaches of the Mediterranean Sea is only 15 minutes away from the city centre.

Weather
With over 2500 hours of sunshine every year, Nice boasts an exceptionally mild climate. The average daily temperature hovers around 15°C, soaring up to 40°C in July-August and rarely dipping below 5°C in winter (November-February). In summer the water temperature is a languid 20-25°C.
Food
Restaurants can be found all over the city. Promenade de Anglais is full of restaurants and cafés to choose from, although they can be pricey. For the best selection, covering all price ranges, go to Vieux Nice. Naturally there are many restaurants in the city serving national cuisine. These range from top class restaurants which would cause most teens to go over their budget, to those with more reasonably priced menus. Italian food is also prominent on most Naçois menus.
Language
The official language of Monaco is French, but English and Italian, as well as Mongasque and Occitan (local languages) are also spoken.
