Your language vacation itinerary
You will book your own flights and arrive independently into San Jose. Students should book their flights to arrive to SJO (San José Airport) on Sunday and their departing flights from SJO on Sunday.
You will be met at the airport by your host family and taken to your accommodation. The family waits at the exit with a sign with the student’s name on it and takes them directly to the home. As teens arrive at all different times, many in the evening, they stay with the family that night, and in the morning the host mother brings them to school for their placement test and orientation.
One week will be sepnt in Heredia and one week will be spent in Samara.
Your accommodation is included on the Sunday, our language courses start on Monday and finish Friday, departure day is the following Sunday. This is so students can participate in all weekend activities and not have to rush back for a Sunday flight.
You will be studying and living with like-minded students of a similar age from around the world, under the supervision of our staff, with rules & curfews.
Campus location
Located in a beautiful, prestigious private campus in the heart of town and close to the city’s coffee plantations, Olympic-size simming pool,gym, football fields, basketball courts and more.
The campus has excellent study facilities, many social areas, student kitchen and gardens.

Lodging
:: HOMESTAY
Teens live in homestay families in the same neighbourhood, very close to the school (usually within 5 blocks), and walk together to school in the mornings. In the evenings after activities, they are dropped off at home by their transportation.

The school has a full-time chaperone who stays nearby and is available 24/7 for any emergencies. They and the tour guides accompany the teens on all trips and activities. In addition, they have an on-site teen coordinator who is available for consults at the school M-F fulltime.
Teens will NOT be allowed out alone without chaperone or host family member.
Estimated students on the immersion: 10-15
Staff ratio 1 chaperone for every 12 students, plus 1 on-site counselor.
After class activities
Enjoy a schedule of social & cultural activities during the week with other students and weekend excursions. Volunteer work once a week
